Software Engineer in Test, Stockholm

Job Description:

Edgeware Test Engineers strive to verify that our company's software and purpose built hardware works every time for every user while scaling to the highest levels. We tackle and solve huge technical challenges as the company pushes the limits of video streaming and content delivery. We have a dedicated team of highly skilled engineers working in an agile environment located in central Stockholm (see map).

As a Software Engineer in Test, you will examine, validate, measure and test our purpose built hardware and software. A key element of this is to be an integral part of the design process to ensure that our systems are predictable and testable. Edgeware's wide range of products offers a range of technical challenges for you as a Software Engineer in Test.

Your primary responsibility as a Software Engineer in Test will be to work with the design team to automate testing, create new test frameworks, implement new automation tools and create innovative automated test systems in a high performance network environment. This task is very challenging, highly stimulating and, for the right person, a lot of fun.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead test efforts and developing new ways of test automation

Requirements:

  • A testing mindset with an appetite for creative destruction
  • Experience in TCP/IP and network programming
  • Testing or tools development experience
  • Degree in Computer Science or similar
  • Strong skills in Linux
  • Strong scripting skills (bash)
  • Excellent programming skills. Preferably in some of the following languages: Python, C/C++, or Java
  • Fluent in Swedish
