The combination of Edgeware’s Distributed Video Delivery Network and Minerva’s new
xTVFusion platform enables operators to deploy Fast Channel Change and extend the reach
of their video services

London (IPTV World Forum) – March 22, 2011 (Booth #167) – Edgeware, the technology leader in
distributed video delivery systems and Minerva Networks, the leading supplier of broadband Television
management and delivery platforms, today announced an integrated Fast Channel Change and packed
retransmission solution for IPTV operators.

The joint solution enables service providers to offer superior Quality of Experience (QoE) to their television
subscribers. With Fast Channel Change users can change channels almost instantaneously avoiding typical
delays of between 2 and 5 seconds. Packet retransmission maximises picture quality over lossy delivery
networks enabling operators to extend the reach of their broadband television services.

In the Fall of 2010 Minerva announced the integration of Edgeware’s distributed video delivery solution with
its new xTVFusion platform to enable a range of advanced video delivery services including video on
demand, network-based digital video recording and time shifted television. Further integration of the two
platforms has now enabled Fast Channel Change and video retransmission for enhanced QoE.

On Monday, March 21st 2011, Minerva announced that Go Malta a leading European operator had adopted
its platform to provide advanced video services to its subscribers. Go Malta will benefit from the new
capabilities of the integrated Edgeware and Minerva solution.

The solution will be demonstrated at IPTV World Forum in London, 22nd-24th March 2011. Edgeware’s stand
number is 167 while Minerva stand number is 214.
