The Asia-Pacific OTT market is incredibly vibrant. With its ubiquitous high-speed broadband availability powering the most advanced, feature-rich Internet-delivered TV services, the region plays a leading role in driving innovation within the media and entertainment industry. However, with its geographical density and a population of more than 4 billion people, OTT services in APAC face unique challenges that no other region must.
The June issue of CSI Magazine features commentary from Edgeware, in which we highlight some of the biggest challenges faced by OTT services in APAC – the home of some of the fastest growing and most competitive markets in the world for streaming media.
We explain that these challenges are mostly associated with delivering content to a vast number of consumers at once, without glitches or delays. And argue that to combat this, operators need a delivery infrastructure that can be easily scaled up or down to meet the changing nature of online traffic.
If you would like to learn more about how Edgeware’s transforming TV in the APAC region, we’ll be on stand 6L2-04 at BroadcastAsia 2019 – Asia’s must-attend international event for the multimedia and broadcast industries. You can find out more about the show and book a meeting with us here.
