STOCKHOLM, Sweden – September 16, 2016 – Edgeware, the pioneering TV content delivery network (CDN) provider, has received a CSI award for best content-on-demand solution and also a TV Technology Europe IBC2016 Best of Show award for its pioneering TV CDN solution.
The TV CDN architecture was unveiled earlier this year at 2016 NAB Show and delivers amazing TV with no buffering, no delays and no glitches. In today’s ‘content anywhere’ market, it gives telco operators, broadcasters, content owners and cable operators the most efficient way of delivering TV services to large audiences.
Edgeware’s CEO Joachim Roos, said: “To receive industry recognition like this from respected titles such as CSI Magazine and TV Technology Europe shows that the benefits of using a dedicated TV CDN architecture are becoming acknowledged by the industry. Content owners around the world are increasingly recognizing that by distributing much of their content nearer to the viewers, they can save on network and third-party CDN costs. This understanding is supported by the fast growing number of TV CDNs we’re now seeing in operation.”
As well as picking up these two awards, Edgeware has been nominated for a Digital TV Europe Content Innovation award and TVBAward, both of which will be announced in October. The company is also up for six Streaming Media European Readers’ Choice awards, which you can vote for.
Edgeware provides operators content owners with the tools to deliver their TV services at huge scale and low cost. Edgeware’s unique technology gives control and insight back to the content provider and delivers TV with an outstanding viewing experience. Edgeware is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, with offices worldwide.
