Hollywood legend Willem Dafoe takes home the Edgeware Award for Best Actor at 2018 UK Film Festival

Willem Dafoe Wins the Edgeware Award for Best Actor at UKFF 2018

Saturday night saw the conclusion of the 2018 UK Film Festival with an awards ceremony at London’s Soho Hotel, proudly sponsored by Edgeware. And once again our very own CMO Richard Brandon took a seat on the judging panel to help decide the fate of the Edgeware awards.

After much deliberation, the Edgeware Award for Best Actor was presented to the legendary Willem Dafoe, as an outstanding achievement award and for his performance in Giada Colegrande’s haunting art film Padre. As an Oscar nominee with more than 100 films to his name, Willem is no stranger to seeing his name in lights.

Other winners announced on the night include INTERCOURSE by Jonatan Etzler which snatched The Edgeware Grand Prix, MOTHERING by Lucy Bridger took The Edgeware Award for Best British Short Film and UNO by Javier Marco came away with the Edgeware Jury Prize.

The UK Film Festival celebrates the cultural diversity of films made in the UK and welcome films from all over the world.
