EDGEWARE AWARD-WINNING SHORT FILM ‘WREN BOYS’ NOMINATED FOR A BAFTA

Wren Boys, the winner of the Edgeware Award for Best British Short at the UK Film Festival, has continued its success with an EE British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) nomination. Director and writer Harry Lighton, producer Sorcha Bacon and co-writer John Fitzpatrick were recognized for their work at the Edgeware-supported UK Film Festival in November 2017 and received.

The film, which follows the story of a Catholic priest in Ireland who drives his nephew to prison the day after Christmas,  has also been nominated for British Independent Film Awards’ Best British Short, London Film Festival’s Short Film Award and Sundance Film Festival’s Short Film Grand Jury Prize.

Edgeware would like to congratulate the team behind Wren Boys and wish them the best of luck at the BAFTAs which take place in London’s Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 18 February.
